Uuden opettelua - Learning new things

Niitä on ihana rytistellä. Tätä tilkkuista en uskalla ihan yhtä vapautuneesti.

I've never made patchwork with paper templates before now. I also want to learn to embroider in miniature so I did the tiny flowers for the black patches after I joined the pieces and got rid of the papers inside the pieces. The bed I bought from Lissu and since then I've been playing with sheets and pillows and such. One needs a nest now that the Summer's almost gone. Also I noticed that I need a better light for small work. There's a paper covered wire in the edge of the quilt, which makes it lovely to shape. The idea came from Anna, who made lots of duvets with wire. I made some too and it's so much fun to fold and wrap and crumble them.
