Sipuleita kerhossa - Onions at the club meeting

Meillä oli siis nukkekotikerhon tapaaminen viime torstaina. Sain melko hienosti siivottuakin. Teimme helpolla tavalla sipuli- ja valkosipulilettejä. Intouduin muokkaamaan Katilta saamaani kaappia ja voi miten siitä tulikin juuri sopiva Pirtin keittiöön. Muhkeat sipulini roikkuvat siinä ovessa. Aika hämärää vielä näin kevätiltaisin...

  We had our dollhouse club meeting at my place last Thursday and we made onions and garlic in a very easy way. And I managed to tidy the place a bit too. I painted the cupboard I've received from Kati a long time ago and it turned out perfect for the Pirtti kitchen. I'm so pleased. It's still rather dark here in the evenings. We did have the first real Spring day today though. Thank goodness!

Tässä vielä kaappi "uutena" vihreiden maalikerrosten kanssa. Sittemmin suttasin sitä ja hioin vaaleansinistä esille hiukan. On se jännä, että aina pitää vähän kuluttaa kaikkea ennen kuin se näyttää hyvältä minun silmissäni.

  Here is the cupboard as "new" with a bunch of green layers. I smudged it a bit and distressed it to show some of the pale blue from beneath and added the flowers of course. I wonder why I need to make things look old before I like them.

Flunssajoulu - Christmas with a flu

Minä olenkin sitten lähinnä pötkötellyt ja köhinyt ja ihmetellyt miten heikkoon kuntoon menee raavas nainen aivan tavallisen flunssan kanssa. Sikaa on kyllä syöty kovasti. Oli hyvä, että saatiin kaikki hommat tehtyä ennen kuin tauti iski. Ihan lokoisaa on ollut, vähän erilaista vaan.

I've been mainly coughing and lieing down and wondering how come an ordinary flu can get me so weak. It was great that everything was more or less done before it really hit me, so it's been cosy and relaxing in a different way from usual.

Nukkekotielämää -listan synttäriswapin sain avata sitten 25.12, kun tuli taas vuosi mittariin. Aivan ihania juttuja! Kiitoksia kaikille! Näistä kuvistakin huomaa, että olen ollut kipeänä. En ole edes jaksanut leikkiä enkä kuvata lahjoja yksittäin. Piti päästä heti takas pitkälleen.

I took part in our internet-group's birthday swap as well and could open another batch of wonderful packages on 25th. Thank you so much! I just did not have the energy to take a photo of each wonderful present and what's worse, I have not had the energy to play. I'm sure I'll have a great time when I get better and can arrange these treasures!

Also I received the very first real treasure box of my life from a dear dear friend! Thank you so much Joyce, you cannot believe how much your gift means to me. Everybody should have a treasure box to keep things received, found and that have become special to remember things and to remember that your life really is precious.

Hämeenlinnan kerho - Dollhouse club

En olekaan päässyt kerhoilemaan aikoihin. Uusi kerhotila on ihan mainio ja kivaa oli. Muut tekivät kuusia ja muuta jouluista, mutta minä väsäsin pöksyt Edvinille ja tunikaa minulle. Takaa tuli valmiiksi, mutta edestä pitää vielä vähän rukata.

It's been a long time since I've been to our club meetings. The new space is terrific and it was fun as always. The others made christmas trees and some books, but I made underpants for Edvin and a shirt for me. Backside is ready but the front still needs a little sewing.

Kerhoa ja siivousta

Eilen oli kerhoilta meillä ja teimme huovuttamalla nalleja. Aikamoinen sutina kävi, kun tökimme. Aina välillä kuului vaan AU!, kun jollakulla osui sormi neulan tielle. Osa nalleista jäi kotiviimeistelyyn, mutta tässä ryhmäkuvassa valmistuneita ötököitä. Kiitos kaikille, oli kivaa!

We had a dollhouse club here last night and we felted teddybears. We talked and laughed and there was an occational outch! every now and then when someone poked their finger. Some of the bears went home as parts, but here are the finished bears and bunnies.



No, ennen kerhoa on aina vimmattu siivous käynnissä. Yhdistin sen nyt vähän suurempaan kamojen lajitteluun ja vekslaukseen. Aikamoinen savotta, kun on noin kymmenen miljoonaa esinettä sortteerattavaa. Minulla oli pikkuinen apuri mukana, joka kyllä sai minut ajoittain epätoivon partaalle, kun lajitellut epämääräiset kasat lattialta siirtyivät milloin mihinkin, kuten tässä nukkuvan kissan päälle koristeiksi. On kyllä melko rauhallinen luonne eräällä elukalla. Ei se ihan kuorsannut tuossa, mutta makasi silmät kiinni, häntä ihan hiljaa ja vähän huokaili.

I needed to clean up like a nut before the club and decided to sort out some of my stuff at the same time. There's plenty of things to go through... I'll post a photo of my work-space, when I'm done, if it gets done... My daughter Aava helped me by making me desperate. I had these piles of stuff on the floor that were almost ready to put to boxes, but she found better things to do with them. Like decorating the sleeping cat. He's quite a calm fellow, just lied there, eyes closed, not moving its tail.
