Lehtikranssi - Leaf wreath

Tein huvikseni ohjeen lehtikranssia varten.

I'm practising making tutorials, so here's one for a leaf wreath for the door from real leaves.

Materials: wreath base (I used a loop of paper covered wire), flower tape (you can wind the wreath with thin wire or thread too, but flower tape is easy) and mini leaves punched from real leaves.

Leikkaa kukkateipistä parin kolmen millin paksuinen suikale.

Cut a thin strip from the flower tape.

Kieputa suikaletta venyttäen kranssipohjan ympärille. Venyttämällä kukkateipin liima tulee esiin.

Wind the strip a couple of times around the wreath base pulling it tight to make it stick to itself.

Leikkuri jättää lehtiin hyvän pienen kannan, jonka voi kieputtaa kranssipohjaan kiinni, lehti kerrallaan.

Wind the tape around the wreath base and stem of each leaf.

Kiinnitä lehdet lomittain lähelle toisiaan.

Attach the leaves changing the direction and overlapping them.

Lopussa nosta ensimmäistä lehteä, jotta saat viimeisen sen alle ja kieputa teippiä pari kierrosta itsensä ympäri.

In the end lift the first leaf to fit the last under it and wind the tape a couple of times around the wreath.

Takapuoli näyttää tämmöiseltä.

The finished wreath from the back.

Lehdet kurtistuvat kuivuessaan kauniisti. Jos käytät paperilehtiä, joudut kurtistamaan ne itse.

The leaves curl nicely when they dry. If using paper, you must cup, curl and wrinkle them yourself.
